As a Lean Manufacturing Intern, you will analyze data, map workflows, and collaborate on lean manufacturing initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, using statistical tools to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Create detailed process maps to document current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and highlight inefficiencies in existing processes.
Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager to propose and develop plans for process enhancements, including the design and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
Participate in the execution of process improvement initiatives, monitor their progress, and report on outcomes.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Maintain thorough documentation of processes, improvements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring all changes are accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for process changes.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with process improvement tools and methodologies.
