Responsibilities:

• Gulf Coast Social Services is in need of a floater to provide Personal Attendant Care services to multiply individuals in their homes in Lafayette/New Iberia/Opelousas areas.
• This person will have a possible change in schedule every two weeks to meet coverage in multiple homes.
• To provide direct care “companionship services” for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons who, because of advanced age or physical or mental infirmity, cannot care for themselves and to help them reach their maximum potential.
• Provide direct care “companionship services” as needed.
• Services may include assistance with grooming, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, toileting, clothes washing, diaper changes, assisting with ambulation, providing client transportation for shopping/appointments, leisure/community activities, and other similar personal care services at the time and place defined in each assigned client’s Individual Service Plan.

Salary Range: 16.00 per hr

Education:

• Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Requirements:

• Applicant must have one year of experience.
• Must have Louisiana approved driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance, car inspection, and car registration.
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle and background check.
